Fume Hood Assembler

Instructions

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This position will be taking the fabricated/painted scientific fume hoods and assembling for final shipment.

• Assembling fume hoods –  Basic skills required
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Use basic hand tools.
  • Cut and sweat copper pipe.
  • Ability to read basic plumbing blueprints.
  • Able to climb a 3 step ladder.
• Moving product down the assembly line with a pallet jack.
• Operating Pneumatic Tools such as drills and powered screw drivers.
• Clean work area to Company standards.

Requirements

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly.
• Must be able to bend and stoop during shift.

Experience

• Excellent verbal skills – This employee will be required to communicate with other employees in the fume hood assembly area.
• Teamwork – Each employee in this area is required to work with other team members lifting and assembling.

Education

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
